About Me

I want you to know about me, and I can not wait to get to know you!

My name is Louisa Zimmerman. I’m 50 years young, though my soul is convinced I’m still 30 (hopefully you can relate).

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Development from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina School of Social Work.

I’ve been married for 21 years (and counting) to my wonderfully imperfect husband, Eric. Together, we have a beautifully blended family with four incredible children—each completely different—ranging in age from 28 to 14. We also have an amazing grandchild we can never see enough of, and a very handsome, frequently disobedient, still-in-training granddog named Tito’s (his looks are his saving grace… and yes, my husband named him).

Our life doesn’t come with a white picket fence. It’s often messy, chaotic, and beautiful all at once. We’ve faced and overcome many challenges along the way—experiences that have shaped who I am, strengthened my resilience, and deepened my understanding of people and life.

I’ve lived most of my life in South Carolina, but I’ve also called other places home, including several stops along the East Coast and time spent living in Italy. I love to travel and will happily go anywhere warm with blue water.

I am an unapologetic Christian who cannot quote or debate scripture and will never reach perfection—or anything close to it. What I can promise is honesty, transparency, and authenticity. I will never judge you or your beliefs, and I will never force my beliefs onto you. I embrace diversity and believe our differences are the spice of life—adding strength and color to what would otherwise be a monochromatic, boring rainbow.

I have many years of experience working with people in all stages of life, and I find my greatest joy in helping others discover theirs.

My Happy Place!
